The Newport & Narragansett Bay Railroad operates a number of themed train rides on classic railcars.
This fall, take their Autumn Bistro Train for a memorable way to enjoy the foliage.
The train departs from Portsmouth Junction Station on a number of dates in October for a two hour ride that will take you along Narragansett Bay to Mt. Hope Bridge. In 2018, the train runs on October 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, and 27.
On this train ride, you'll be seated at a table so you can enjoy a delicious seasonal lunch while you enjoy the ride.
You'll be served a three-course meal that includes a starter of soup or salad, your choice of three seasonal entrees, and warm apple crisp for dessert.
The constantly changing scenery makes the two hour ride fly by. The water views in particular are exceptional.
It's the perfect activity for family members of all ages - after all, what little kid doesn't love trains?
