We usually only read "once upon a time" in fairy tales. However, the story behind this restaurant in Pennsylvania really does read like a fairy tale come to life. Many years ago, in the early part of the 20th century, William Kryskill promised his wife he would one day build her a majestic castle. Today, that castle is an enchanting restaurant that belongs on every Pennsylvanian's dining bucket list.

Nestled in the Pittsburgh suburb of Coraopolis, Hyeholde Restaurant promises a charming experience - from the fairy tale-like setting to the scrumptious menu.
Owned and run by Barbara McKenna, Kryskill's daughter, Hyeholde sits on four lush acres, brimming with blossoming gardens and winding footpaths.
When you first step through the door, you might feel as though you've entered another world. Take a moment to drink in the castle's sheer beauty - from the chandeliers to the stained glass windows.
Spellbinding views await from your table, where you can sip a glass of wine as you browse the menu. Start your meal with such delicious appetizers as sherry bisque or the steamed mussels.
If you're in the mood for a crisp, fresh salad, try the baby gem lettuce salad or the spring arugula salad.
Your entree, of course, will undoubtedly be the highlight of the meal. Choose from the seared halibut, the seared sea scallops, or the New York strip steak.
Has it been far too long since you've had a picnic? Hyeholde Restaurant features several "Picnic for Two" options during the warmer months.
Spread out on a blanket with a picnic basket filled with lobster rolls, pulled pork, or grilled chicken, paired with a salad and a dessert. (That's just one of your choices.)
