2. Pymatuning State Park – Jamestown
Pymatuning State Park provides an idyllic backdrop for a day outdoors or for a few nights of camping. 3. R.B. Winter State Park - Mifflinburg
Swing on one of the swinging benches or sunbathe on a sandy beach when you visit R.B. Winter State Park, a fun destination no matter the season. In the summer, you'll definitely want to drop your beach towel for a day of sunbathing and swimming in the cool water of Halfway Lake. Wintertime means cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. 4. Ghost Town Trail – Black Lick
Hike part or all of the Ghost Town Trail, named the Trail of the Year in 2020. The award-winning trail spans 46 miles through Indiana and Cambria Counties. 5. Seven Tubs Nature Area – Wilkes-Barre
Lace up your comfiest walking shoes for your visit to Seven Tubs Nature Area, a beautiful natural area bursting with natural pools and waterfalls. Start by hiking the 1.9-mile main trail that will take you straight to the natural tubs.
6. Hawk Mountain Sanctuary – Kempton
Hawk Mountain Sanctuary boasts several hiking trails that offer spectacular scenic views. It's also an ideal destination for learning more about raptors and the work being done to help preserve them. 7. Cherry Springs State Park – Coudersport
If you like stargazing, you'll definitely want to visit Cherry Springs State Park, which boasts the darkest sky on the eastern seaboard.
