Tis the season in Vermont for BBQs, picnics and, of course, fireworks. You might be asking "Where can I find fireworks near me this 4th of July?" Well, lucky for you, we have a ton of festivities so VT fireworks in 2017 will be easy to find. Last year in 2016 we outlined where to find them by day, and now we've made it even easier for you to plan your holiday viewing by listing it all out by county, but first, let's take a look at a few of our favorite 4th of July celebrations in Vermont. Grab your sparklers and let's get started!
1. Montpelier
Kick off this year's celebrations at the Family Olympics on the State House Lawn at 3pm. There will be over 40 vendors, a road race, parade and after you can relax with a live music and a fireworks show right on the state capital lawn. This is a marathon, not a sprint so plan to spend the whole day here.
2. Warren
The Mad River Valley simply comes alive with fun and festivities on the 4th of July! The parade starts at 10am and the fireworks are at 9:15pm, and you'll find loads of things to do in between! Some might say that the 4th of July is bigger than Christmas here!
3. Manchester
Sit back, relax and prepare for an amazing show. The fireworks will kick off at 9:30pm and they are the perfect way to close a jam packed day. Be sure to get there early because there is plenty of live music, vendors and fun before the show!
4. Burlington
Enjoy the fireworks on July 3rd at the Burlington Waterfront. You'll find plenty of family friendly events and activities and plenty of food here. The festivities kick off at 5pm and the fireworks start at 9:30pm. Just when you thought the waterfront views couldn't get any better!
5. Stowe
This old fashioned 4th of July celebration starts with a parade in Moscow at 10am and it just keeps getting better. Check out this video of all the great things to see and do on Independence day in Stowe by Mark Vandanberg.
