Within the past few years, Georgia has had some pretty phenomenal fireworks shows over Fourth of July Weekend. 1. Centennial Olympic Park’s Fourth of July Celebration - Atlanta
Every year, Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta hosts one of the best fireworks shows in the state. In fact, the July 4th celebration in Centennial Olympic Park even won an Emmy in 2012 for their broadcast on ABC, not to mention became the third most-watched program in Atlanta in 2016. That just goes to show, it’s that good of a display. Gates open at 6pm for the fun, so make sure you get there early for a good seat. Fireworks start at 9:45pm.
2. Annual Fireworks at Dusk - Helen
This annual festival brings together people from all across the state to celebrate the 4th of July in the heart of the mountains. From 9pm to 10pm the fireworks will light up the sky of Alpine Helen. Free to the public, head over to 8016 S. Main Street in Helen to set up shop for the sensational show.
3. 4th of July Fireworks - Jekyll Island
Celebrate the 4th of July with the one of the best fireworks show on the coast. The 4th of July Fireworks will start around 9pm, so make sure you arrive to the beach early to find a nice spot in the sand. The location to be for this Jekyll Island Show os the Great Dunes Park, Ocean View Trail.
4. Fantastic Fourth Celebration - Stone Mountain
With one of the biggest fireworks finales in the state, head on over to Stone Mountain Park for a must-see fireworks show. Stone Mountain is notorious for their lasershow, but through July 1-4, a spectacular fireworks finale immediately follows. This award-winning display has to be seen to be believed. 5. Independence Day Celebration - Augusta
At the annual Independence Day Celebration on July 4th 2017 in Augusta, Georgia, fireworks will officially hit the sky at dusk. However, if you’re looking for activities to keep you busy all day, then head on over to Downtown Augusta Common, where there will be vendors set up, food, live music, and even a children’s area! Spend the day full of patriotic pride, then watch once of the best fireworks displays in the state.
