Spring has sprung, which means that it's time to stop and smell the roses. Or, in this case, daffodils! Not many people know that there's a place you can go just to soak in the sights of these flowers. The waterfront locale is actually private property but you're free to visit through May 14th. Laurel Ridge Farm is located on Wigwam Road, Litchfield, CT 06759. There is no admission fee and you're welcome to roam freely from dawn until dusk. Check out the daffodil field now:
Thousands of daffodils bloom every year at Laurel Ridge, making it the perfect place to go for a spring day trip.
Family and friends will love exploring the grounds and climbing the hills as they discover the first flowers of spring.
You're likely to see these yellow beauties across the state, but not like this. These daffodils come by the acre - 15 to be exact.
The massive garden space is also waterfront, and even the lone island in the pond's center is covered in flowers. It really is an incredible sight.
The springtime sanctuary began in 1941 with the first daffodils being planted by Remy and Virginia Morosani. The flowers have been popping back up ever since!
So take a drive and stop by this field of flowers for a well spent afternoon.
This is one spring adventure you'll certainly never forget!
