Some places in Alaska can look out of place and rather otherworldly. From ice caves to frozen tundras, there are places in our state that at times can make you swear your witnessing life on another planet. Don't believe me? Check out these 8 photos of places in Alaska that simply look out of this world.
1) Statues at Point Warzonof
Sarah Davies is the artist of these unique looking statues. If you ask me, I feel like I'm looking at a beach full of frozen people.
2) Haunted Eklutna spirit houses
Okay, maybe they aren't haunted but this graveyard looks like a town for very, very tiny people.
3) This Oil Field in Prudhoe Bay looks like a shot from another planet.
The vast expanse of ice makes it look like Mars or some other planet.
4) The eerie abandoned halls of the Buckner Building.
This gives me the feeling of being in a different place and time.
5) An eerie shot of the moon.
This blood shot moon makes the mountains in the background look like they could be from a different planet, not the Chugach Mountain Range in Alaska.
6) Underwater iceberg
This shot looks like there is an entire world under the face of the water... anyone think Atlantis could be in Alaska?
7) Blowing snow across the James Dalton Highway near Finger Mountain.
This shot definitely looks like it could be from a different planet.
8) Wildfires turn the skies red.
The eerie combination of smoke and orange tint make the sky look otherworldly.
